Favorite Things!
I always use what I have until I've researched and am certain I'll use the new item enough to justify the cost. Below is a list of some of my favorite things: wellness, sourdough and cooking.
I do make a small compensation when you buy something from the link. Whether it's a supplement, a small sourdough item, or a larger item for you kitchen, these are all things our family loves and uses in our home.
Wellness
*multivitamin: This helps us cover our bases. It is almost impossible for adults these days to get the needed nutrients just from food.
*magnesium: Magnesium is involved in over 80% of metabolic functions. 70% of adults don't get enough from diet.
*Omega 3 EPA: EPA is crucially important in cardio health. It has also been shown to help with depression symptoms.
*Omega 3 DHA: DHA is very important in brain health and function.
*Prostate Supplement: This is really important for men over 50.
*Anti-inflammatory: This is super helpful if you have inflammation.
*Broccoli Sprout Seeds: Sulforaphane is so important for brain health and liver detoxification, Broccoli sprouts are the best way to get them. We use these seeds and grow them in these jars.
*Weighted Vest: I wear this every morning on my walk. Wearing a weighted vest gets you a better cardio workout, burns more calories, and strengthens leg muscles. I love mine!
*Rowing Machine: We have this in our garage. I love it because it works on cardio, as well as my back, legs and arms. And it doesn't take up much space at all.
Sourdough
*Dutch oven: This is the best way to make artisan loaves. I use mine every day for bread and multiple times a week for cooking.
*Starter jar: I love having the tall jar to keep my starter in on a daily basis.
*Small spatulas: These tall, skinny spatulas are the best way to stir my starter in the jar.
*Whisk: This Danish whisk saves so much time when mixing your starter with water. Game changer!
*Scale: Having a scale is so important. It saves time and allows me to be precise.
*Bench knife: This is so, so helpful when diving dough for rolls or bagels. It's also super helpful for cleaning my counter after baking!
*Bosch Mixer: This saves lots of time and energy, especially with enriched doughs. I use it for kneading everything except for artisan loaves.
Cooking
*Vitamix mixer: We use this mixer at least 2 times every day. I've had it for over 10 years, have never had any issues, and it's still going strong.
*Food Processor: I use this multiple times a week. It has lasted over 30 years!
*Stainless Steel Colanders: I love these colanders. I use them daily to strain yogurt, and throughout the week to strain other items.
